Awareness Workshop for the Kuwaiti charities in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs

Kuwait Compliance Co. yesterday held a workshop to raise awareness about the risks of money laundering and financing of terrorism in the Kuwaiti charitable sector..

The workshop, which was attended by more than 50 participants representing various Kuwaiti charities, is part of the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs to sensitize these charities, their service recipients and concerned staff to the importance of assessing and monitoring their work procedures, projects and sources of funding.

Kuwait Compliance Co. continues to collaborate with public, private and NGO sectors to create a platform of awareness of the risks of money laundering and the financing of terrorism through various workshops and initiatives aimed at delivering specialized technical knowledge and the development of policies and procedures based on international best practices to combat money-laundering and the financing of terrorism to protect Kuwaiti charities and to prevent the occurrence of these crimes, in particular, charities that operate outside Kuwait as well.
